1. City of Great Falls - The 43nd Annual "Ice Breaker Road Race"

Join thousands of runners, joggers, and fitness walkers who enter the race each year. The five-mile road race offers a competitive format with a three-mile run offering both a competitive and recreational format.

One of Montana's Premier Running Events

The race has been named one of the top 100 road races in the country by Runner's World Magazine. Geared toward both families as well as experienced and elite runners, it offers a 5-mile race, 3-mile run, and a 1-mile run/fitness walk.

The Ice Breaker has attracted an average of 3,600 participants each year and is not only a fitness and competitive event but also has been a social event for the community for over 40 years. All race participants are provided a long-sleeved T-shirt, awarded a finisher medal, 2023 specially designed race bib, and a bagged lunch. There will also be online race results, online photo galleries, and chances to win prizes.
